A&P Alpaca & Silk 4 Ply

A&P Yarn Club

A&P Yarn Club

£31.00£34.00

The club box is back!
Each month there will be a skein of yarn, in a base of your choice specially dyed to the box theme plus little extras which we hope you’ll like.
This month’s theme is bringing the garden in. We’ve had rain for what seems like weeks so in between the downpours Nicola cut some flowers from the garden to cheer up the house and we couldn’t let the vase of flowers go to waste, as well as a 100g skein of yarn in the base of your choice, there is a non sewing craft project plus a few other things.

Being rubbish at surprises we have included a fairly hefty hint as to the colour so as not to lead to disappointment but we hope we’ve still left an element of surprise and created something that will provide enjoyment for a long time.

The choice of bases for this box are

Classic Sock: 100g/365m, 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon.
Washing – Machine washable on a gentle wool cycle using a mild detergent or hand wash.

Merino & Silk Single – 100g./400 m., 70% Superwash Merino, 30% Silk
Washing – Hand wash only using a gentle detergent.

Postal date: w/c 19th July
Items ordered with the Club Box will all be posted at the same time when the Club Box is available.
We can not post to the EU

The gallery picture show previous box contents and the two bases together so that you can see how the yarns take the dyes. There’s also a blog post about the first one here

The graphic patterning of this hat reminds us of the iconic silhouette of the passenger jet Concorde. Our Dad worked on the electronics so we would all dive outside to see it fly over in the 70s and 80s, like a Spitfire, you couldn’t mistake the sound of it.

The kit comes with enough of our hand dyed 4ply Blue Faced Leicester Masham yarn to make either size hat using either colour as the main.
