Placing an order

All prices displayed in sterling.  We are not VAT registered.

We take great care in getting the yarn colours as accurate as we can but all computer monitors will display colours differently, therefore, the colours shown are for guidance only.  If in any doubt please get in touch before placing your order.

For commercial yarns orders will be supplied from complete dye lots where applicable. If we are unable to supply part of your order due to insufficient stock of a dye lot we will contact you as soon as possible with a new expected delivery date or a full refund.

With hand dyed yarns each skein is individual and there are no dye lots.  It is recommended that if you are using more than one skein of the same colour that you alternate the skeins in the rows so that any difference in colour is less obvious.

A confirmation of your order will be sent to you by email.

We reserve the right to cancel an order up to the point of delivery.

Paying for your order.

We accept most credit cards and Paypal on our website.
If there is going to be a delay in dispatching your order we’ll be in touch to let you know and will offer a full refund if you prefer not to wait.


All our internet orders are processed by Sagepay or Paypal and we have no access to card details. You can check that you are shopping in a secure environment by looking for the padlock icon on your browser screen.

Returns and Cancellation

We really want you to be happy with your order.  Please get in touch with us so that we can try to resolve any problems

You can cancel your order, for a full refund right up until it’s dispatched.

If you change your mind about your order you have up to 21 days to send it back to us in a saleable condition with all ball bands and packaging intact. We will refund the cost of the goods but you are responsible for the cost of the return delivery.  We strongly recommend you get a Certificate of Posting from the Post Office so that you can claim compensation if your return doesn’t reach us.

Faulty or wrong goods?

Mistakes do happen and we are happy to take back any damaged or faulty goods and we will refund the full cost including return postage.

If returning an item please include a short note with the invoice number and your name and address to make the refund quicker.


We aim to have all orders dispatched by the same or the next working day, depending when the order is placed.  If anything is out of stock we’ll let you know about any delay by email so that you can decide how to proceed.  You will receive a confirmation email when your parcel has been posted.

Delivery in the UK is by Royal Mail 2nd class standard post and they aim to deliver parcels in two or three working days.  Delivery to the more remote parts of the UK may take a little longer as you’ll probably know if you are lucky enough to live in one of these locations but all our parcels should arrive within five working days. Orders over £80 are sent Second Class Signed and will require a signature upon receipt. Royal Mail do not consider a parcel to be lost until at least 10 working days after expected delivery date.

If you prefer your order can be sent 1st class Royal mail signed for, just get in touch and we’ll arrange it.

International Delivery is by Royal Mail Tracked and Signed service or the closest equivalent available for the destination country. The customer is responsible for any import taxes, duties and handling fees that maybe levied once the parcel reaches your countries borders, we strongly recommend that you get in touch with your local customs office for further information.

We are a small company and may be out and about when you call so please leave a message and we will get in touch as soon as we can.


When you place an order with us, we ask for information such as your name, address, email address and a contact telephone number this is only used for processing your order.  We are unable to see, retain or store any of your payment details. These are processed by either Sagepay or Paypal.

We will never pass on your details to a third party and will only use them to contact you in relation to your order.

Our newsletter subscription list is held by Mailchimp.  You need to subscribe to our newsletter separately using either the sign up option on the website or at a show.  You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter or by getting in touch with us.
