Heath

£4.25 – £6.75

A luxurious blend of non-muleised merino lambswool and mohair in a 4ply weight, single ply yarn.  It has a rustic, homespun look but is next to the skin soft with tweedy nubs of colour giving it a great depth and richness. It makes light, hardwearing and warm accessories or jumpers with a gorgeous halo and is ideal for colour work. The yarn is spun with a light spinning oil and will bloom and soften on washing.
We really recommend that you sew in ends and wash all tension squares before measuring to get the true size and feel of the sample.
As a single ply yarn, to minimise twisting we recommend laying the skein over the back of a chair when winding into a ball – or you could coerce a friend.

Ball weight and length –approx  50g./200 m. 25g/100m
Recommended needle – 2.75mm-3.75mm
Fibre – 70% merino lambswool,  30% mohair
Washing – Hand wash only using a mild detergent. The yarn is spun with a light spinning oil which needs to be washed off.
