Blacker Tamar Lustre Blend DK
A British yarn spun from the fleeces of British sheep the Teeswater, Wenslydale, Cotswold and Black Leicester Longwool. All these rare breed sheep have long lustrous ringlets of wavy fleece that give the yarn its subtle sheen. The lustre fibres are blended with the fleece of Cornish Mule (usually Blue Faced Leicester Ram and a local ewe so that blending is done even before shearing, a cunning wheeze). Worsted spun to enhance the yarn’s drape each skein is a masterpiece. All the names are either tributaries or rivers near to the Tamar that forms the boundary between Cornwall and Devon.
